To date, 89% of S&P 500 companies have reported third quarter results. The news is pretty good. By the time all companies report their figures, it is estimated earnings will have decreased by -2.4%. That is an improvement over the decline of -2.8% that was previously anticipated.

Stocks continued their climb to new highs as investors feel more confident about the stability of the U.S. economy. There are still many headwinds (trade concerns) as this economic expansion is in its tenth year. Still, investors are sitting on a pile of cash ($3.4 trillion). Consider how long this rally could run if that money finds its way into equities.
