For over three decades, David M. Kover, CFP®, has been assisting business owners, executives and retirees with comprehensive financial planning services and helping them to reach their financial planning goals and objectives. He takes pride in serving as a “family CFO,” to provide fiscal clarity and direction, coordinating all of the elements of financial planning, including insurance, taxes, estate planning, and investments, particularly as they relate to retirement planning.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, Kover has completed a two-year intensive study, passing five exams covering investments, taxes, insurance, retirement plans and estate planning.
Kover is an active member of several elite professional organizations that provide ongoing education as well as national networking opportunities with leading financial professionals. Through his attendance at regular training events, Kover is able to help clients navigate the complex regulations and develop tax-reduction strategies for their families. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®), formerly serving as the president for the Chicago Loop Council, and has served on the speaker’s bureau, media committee and the pro bono committee. He is a current board member for the Institute of Management Accounts for Financial Professionals in Business. In addition to his professional associations and designations, Kover holds his Series 7, 4, 65, 24 securities licenses as well as life and long-term care insurance licenses in multiple states.
With an active involvement in his community, Kover has served as president and secretary of Kiwanis of Pelican Bay as well as a board member. He was also treasurer and chairman of the finance committee for the River North Business Association in Chicago.
Kover and his wife, Denise, live in Naples, Florida. He is a certified scuba diver and enjoys playing the drums. He and his wife love to travel and play golf whenever they have the chance.
